William Barbera (Section 2) was promoted in March of 2012 to Chief of the Police Division at the Rockland County, NY Sheriff's Office.
Clint Reck (Section 4) was promoted on November 1, 2011 to the rank of Captain in the patrol division of the Muscle Shoals, Alabama Police Department.
Chad Fontenot (section2) was promoted on March 1, 2011 to the rank of Captain in charge of operations for the Alvin, Texas Police Department.
Don Buchanan (Section 5) was promoted to the rank of Commander effective September 19, 2010. He will assume the role of watch commander for nights and weekends at the Alameda County (CA) Sheriff's Office. This is Don's second promotion since attending the NA!

Michael Rallings (Section 3) was promoted for a second time since the NA. In May, 2009, he was appointed the rank of Colonel, and he now commands the Mt. Moriah Station of the Memphis, TN Police Department.
Doug Phillips (Section 1) was promoted in January, 2009 to the rank of Division Chief of Field Operations for the Polk County Iowa Sheriff's Department.
George Delgado (Section 5) was promoted to commander of the west precinct for the Vancouver, Washington Police Department.
Bruce Riley (Section 2) was promoted in January, 2009 to Undersheriff of Linn County, Oregon.
Mark Henry (Section 4) was promoted in November, 2008 to the rank of Captain of investigations for the Illinois State Police.
Eric Carter (Section 1) was promoted in November, 2008 to the rank of Major, commading the fourth district of the Chicago Police Department.
Charlie Dennis (Section 4) was appointed Chief of Police for thhe Page, Arizona Police Department in April of 2008.
Michael Spera (Section 2) was promoted in June, 2008 to the rank of Deputy Chief of the Old Saybrook, CT Police Department.
David McDavid (Section 4) was promoted in November, 2007 to the rank of Captain over Detectives, K-9's and Communications for Zachary, LA Police Department

3/4/10--Tim Albright (Section 2) will be retiring effective May 1st after 27 years of service. He has accepted a position with Regions Bank as Corporate Assistant Vice President (North Alabama Area Security Manager). His personal email is posted on the FBINAA website.
3/27/09--Clint Reck and Travis Yates have teamed up to support a program called "Armor of God." They recently collected used body armor and donated it to the Phillipine National Police. Clint and Travis are looking for additional support of this program. More information can be found here. 7/7/08--Don Buchanan of the Alameda County Sheriff's Office participated in homeland security training called Urban Shield, which focused on local agency response to terrorist acts against important infrastructure sites or public transportation services. Travis Yates was named Outstanding Instructor of the Year at the 2008 ILEETA conference in Wheeling, Illinois. Travis is highly recognized as a police driving expert, and he is very deserving of this award. Congratulations Travis!

12/1/06--In every Session, a student is selected by his or her peers to receive the FBI National Academy Leadership Award. This award for the 227 was presented by Acting Unit Chief, Dr. Jeff Green to Matthew Torigian of the Waterloo Regional Police Services.
Classmates noted Matt's willingness to provide genuine feedback and assistance while maintaining a very high degree of humility and professionalism.
